PURPOSE:To enable the efficient cooling of cooked rice during transportation and improve productivity by extending the third conveyor for secondary steaming with steam blowing to the cooked rice during transportation, and providing a cooling means for blowing the cool air toward the upper and lower sides of the conveyor. CONSTITUTION:The third conveyor 15 is wound about three rolls 16, 17 and 18, and turns in an arrow direction. A steam blow pipe 25 is provided under the starting end of the conveyor 15, thereby blowing hot steam to rice (a) on the conveyor 15. An air supply chamber 19 and an exhaust chamber 20 are so arranged as to be opposite to each other above and under the end side of the conveyor 15, thereby forming the first cooling part 21 for the cooling air flowing from the lower side of the conveyor 15 to the upper side thereof. Similarly, the second cooling part 24 is formed, comprising an air supply chamber 22 and an exhaust chamber 23 for directing the cooling air from the upper side of the conveyor 15 to the lower side thereof. In addition, the air supply chambers 19 and 22 are connected to an air supply fan via an air duct, and the exhaust chambers 20 and 23 are connected to an exhaust fan via an exhaust duct.
