PURPOSE:To obtain the title preparation having high safety by dissolving or dispersing a stabilizing agent such as (3Z, 6Z, 8E)-dodecatrienol or 2,6-di-tert. butyl-p-cresol into a synthetic resin such as polystyrene. CONSTITUTION:A compound expressed by the formula which is Reticulitermes trail pheromone and stabilizing agent (e.g. hydroquinone or catechol) corresponding to 1-10wt.% of the above-mentioned compound are dissolved or dispersed in a synthetic resin (e.g. polystyrene, polyamide or polyester) 20-1000 times the compound expressed by the formula to provide the title preparation. The preparation is applied to a proper substrate (e.g. paper, glass, plastic sheet, stone, concrete wood print or metal piece), dried and formed into a film to provide the termite detecting agent. The above-mentioned preparation is free from residual toxicity which conventional ant-killing agents have and can have termite inducing effect stabilized for a long period.
