METHOD AND DEVICE FOR INPUTTING CHARACTER IN ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT AND DATA INPUT METHOD IN THE SAME EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To easily confirm the set state of a shift key by changing the click sounds produced at push of keys in accordance with the set state of the shift key. CONSTITUTION:The data F showing the set state of a shift key produced by a shift data control part 3 is converted into the frequency value by a V/F conversion part 41 of a sound generating source control part 4. Then a sound source signal L containing a frequency which is unconditionally by the set state of the shift key is inputted to an AND circuit 42. A CPU 7 detects the push of either one of keys including the shift key and sends a clock sound instruction signal G to the circuit 42. Then the CPU 7 outputs a clock sound signal H of a frequency accordant with the set state of the shift key to an amplifier 5. Thus an operator can easily confirm the set state of the shift key even though the operator performs the input of keys by reference to a keyboard or a monochromatic display.
