PURPOSE:To accomplish to make the monitoring of the title automatic correction with pattern fitting needless, in such a way that selvages of wefts are detected by sensors at all times, and when the picking position for wefts is deviated, the deviation is corrected through a loose guide. CONSTITUTION:When weft 1 is drawn by a carrier head on a receive M side and the weft is released, the weft is brought to stopped state. At this instant, the proper position for each selvage 10 is detected by sensors 9a, 9b, 9c. In case the picking position for the weft 1 is deviated toward a picking N side or the receive M side, a loose guide 8 is moved toward arrow A or B to accomplish the correction of the deviation.
