BINDING TAPE FEEDING DEVICE IN PAPER MONEY BINDING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To reduce wear of rollers which supply a binding tape and improve the life span by a method wherein a brake mechanism which adds damping force to a binding tape and an interlock mechanism which makes rollers separate each other are provided. CONSTITUTION:When pinching members 9a, 9b rotate under a condition where a binding tape T is pinched in accumulated paper money, and the binding tape T is wound around the accumulated paper money, a cam 25 is turned up to a brake working position. A brake member 11 turns up to a position 11b and comes into contact with a brake roller 13, and damping force in response to energizing force of a coil spring 21 is added to the binding tape T. When the brake member 11 turns, as a spur gear 16 rotates counterclockwise, a pin 16a pushes an L-shaped link 31, and the L-shaped link rotates clockwise. By this L-shaped link 31, a shaft 7 is lifted resisting energizing force of a tension spring 8, and a following roller 3 moves from a position 3a to a position 3b. When the brake member 11 turns and comes into contact with the brake roller 13, the following roller 3 always moves upward and separates from a feeding roller 2, and a pinching condition for the binding tape T by the rollers 2, 3 is released.
