PURPOSE:To obtain a disease-preventive feed and feed additive for cattle and pig effective in ameliorating the clinical symptom of disease and increasing the gain of body weight when administered to cattle or pig by compounding bile powder singly or in combination with licorice or garlic powder. CONSTITUTION:Bile powder produced by directly pulverizing bile existing in the gall bladder of cattle or pig is used singly or in combination with licorice, garlic powder, quillaja powder and/or their extracts and compound to a feed in an amount to attain a bile concentration of 0.01-1.0% in the feed or the mixture is used as a feed additive in the form of powder, granule or liquid.
