PURPOSE:To automatically integrate and change the literary styles of sentences included in a document as necessary by changing a character string of an original style taken out by a character string input/output means into another character string of a style pointed by reference to a style conversion table. CONSTITUTION:A style conversion table 5 consists of the character strings of a certain style which are used at the end of each sentence and the character strings of another style corresponding to the former character string. A character string input/output means 2 takes the character string of the original style out of the end of each sentence in a document and replaces the character string with another character string of a style pointed by a user. Then a character string changing means 3 changes the character string of the original style taken out by the means 2 into another character string of a style pointed by the user by reference to the table 5. Thus it is possible to automatically integrate and change the styles of sentences included in a document as necessary.
