PURPOSE:To supply load with power by converting energy stored in a superconducting-magnet energy storage device(SMES) into ACs from DCs by a power converter and controlling capacitor voltage so as to be kept constant. CONSTITUTION:A voltage detector 51 detects the voltage of a capacitor 4, and outputs a voltage signal. A voltage reference generator 6 generates a voltage reference signal as the reference of voltage, and the voltage reference signal and the voltage signal are input to a voltage controller 52, and the voltage controller 52 outputs a phase reference signal, in which a deviation between the voltage reference signal and the voltage signal is brought to zero, to a phase controller 53. The phase controller 53 controls the phase of a power converter 32 in response to the phase reference signal, and controls the voltage of the capacitor 4 at a fixed value. The voltage of the capacitor 4 is fluctuated by the variation of load 2, but the load 2 is supplied with power corresponding to the fluctuation of the voltage from an SMES.
