NEW MATERIAL:(12Z)-9,10-Dihydroxy-8-oxo-12-octadecenoic acid expressed by the formula. USE:A cell-killing agent of cervical carcinoma cell. PREPARATION:A fruit body of Hericium erinaceum is subjected to extraction treatment with water and organic solvent and then an organic solvent is evaporated from an extraction liquid subjected to solid-liquid separation to provide water phase. Then the water phase is subjected to solution distribution extract treatment with a mixed system of water and organic solvent to collect an organic solvent layer and the organic solvent is evaporated to afford a dried material. The dried material is then purified by subjecting the dried material to chromatography fraction treatment to provide the octadecenoic acid derivative expressed by the formula.
