BENDING DEVICE UNIT AND MANIPULATOR DEVICE FOR PLATE MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To simplify access of an operator, etc., to a press by providing a bending press, a manipulator device and an auxiliary gripping device which can turn over a plate material round an axis rectangular to a bending axis and be avoided on an overhead position of the operator, etc., when it is not used. CONSTITUTION:The bending press 2 provided with a punch 12 and a die 10 for operating on a bending axis B, the manipulator and the auxiliary gripping device 6 for gripping and operating the plate material are provided. The auxiliary gripping device 6 is provided with plural grippers 36 which can turn round a prescribed axis D rectangular to an axis C parallel to the bending axis B. The plate material is reciprocated between a 1st position being an operating space MS in front of the bending axis and a 2nd position outside this space and turned 180 degrees round the above prescribed axis D. When the manipulator device is not used, it can move outside the operating space. In this way, the plate material can be turned over so that it is bent in the opposite direction and the operator, etc., can have access to the bending press, etc., easily.
