PURPOSE:To reduce the construction cost by engaging an outer cylinder freely slidably with a main body having a drum cutter installed on the forward end to be freely directed up/down and rotated, installing freely expanding/contracting grippers at the main body and outer cylinder, and inserting them in a preliminarily bored hole for boring a wall. CONSTITUTION:A drum cutter 12 is installed on the forward end of a main body 1 through a boom 11 to be freely directed up/down rotated. In addition, an outer cylinder 4 equipped with a freely extending/contracting gripper 7 is fitted to the main body 1 to be freely slidable for composing an excavating machine B. The excavating machine B is then inserted into a hole A preliminarily excavated at a predetermined interval, it is fixed to the hole wall by grippers 6, 7, and excavating is performed in the form of an arc by the cutter 12 for excavating in order. A continuous wall can thus be constructed effectively.
