摘要

PURPOSE:To advantageously obtain cellulase AE-1 useful for detergent of clothing, etc., by culturing microorganism having producibility of cellulase AE-1 transformed with gene recombination technique and collecting said enzyme from cultured material. CONSTITUTION:A DNA fragment containing cellulase gene is isolated from chromosome DNA of alkaliphilic genus Aeromonas bacterium No.212 strain and said DNA fragment is transduced into a plasmid, then a host microorganism is transformed with said recombinant plasmid to obtain a host microorganism producing cellulase AE-1. Next, said microorganism is cultured and cellulase AE-1 is collected from the cultured material. Resultant cellulase AE-1 has optimum pH at about 5 when examined by using carboxy methylcellulose as the substrate, molecular weight 8000 molecular weight 81000 by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and NH2-Gly-Ile-His-Ala-Asp-Thr amino acid sequence at N-terminal.
