摘要

PURPOSE:To provide an Al alloy having high strength, high elongation, and superplastic formability by incorporating specific amounts of Li, Cu, and Zr to Al alloy. CONSTITUTION:An alloy has a composition consisting of, by weight, 1.00-4.00% Li, 0.05-6.80% Cu, 0.21-1.00% Zr, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities, and further, 0.05-5.60% Mg is incorporated to the above composition, if necessary. Moreover, Zr in this alloy can be incorporated by 0.2% or more (not less than the limit of solid solubility) by a rapid solidification process. By this method, the superplastic Al-Li-Zr alloy which shows high elongation at a strain rate of 1X10-1/s, equal to press working rate, and is lightweight, high strength, excellent formability, and suitable for aircraft material can be obtained.
