PURPOSE:To obtain the subject preventive agent containing calcium peroxide readily available in market as the active component, capable of prevention of destructive plant pathogenic fungus occurring in a nursery box during raising of rice seedlings and giving damages to the seedlings and capable of ready preparation. CONSTITUTION:A preventive agent containing calcium peroxide as the active component. In preparation, calcium peroxide available in market can be used without further treatment and a powdery agent containing calcium peroxide as the active component can be used also. In this case, calcium peroxide is subjected to the preparation together with various carriers recommendably by the conventional method. As the carrier, silica gel, calcium carbonate, clay, etc., are used and a stabilizer, an adhesive agent, etc., are blended therewith. The amount of the active component blended is preferably about 10-90wt.%.
