PURPOSE:To perform conveniently and efficiently a treatment such as deodorizing, sterilization and retention of freshness by providing a controlling means controlling the amt. of generation of ozone linked with a blast direction selecting means in an ozone generator. CONSTITUTION:In a box-like gas flow channel, an opening 1, a layer of an inorg. catalyst 3 consisting of an active carbon, a soundless electric discharge type ozone generator 4, a contrarotatable fan 6 and another opening 2 are placed in this order. Not only an ON-OFF switch but also a manually-switching switch switching the blast direction are set on the fan 6 and in addition, a means controlling the amt. of generation of ozone consisting of a switching controlling circuit which sets an output of the ozone generator max. when the blast direction is switched from left to right by selecting this switch and on the contrary, when the blast direction is switched from right to left, the output of the ozone generator becomes zero (stop) is provided. It is thereby possible to perform accurately and conveniently a treatment of air with ozone in accordance with a purpose.
