The invention concerns a strip 1 of flexible material, preferably intended as a sealing strip around a door or opening in the bodywork of a motor vehicle 2. The strip 1 is provided with an adhesive section 4 running along the length of the strip 1 and intended for adhesion of the strip 1 to a base 3. The adhesive section 4, which preferably consists of two tapes 4a, 4b running along the length of the strip 1, forms, together with the strip 1 and the base 3, limit surfaces for an airtight evacuation channel 6.
