Orally administrable pharmaceutical compsn. for treating gastrointestinal dysfunction comprises the antimuscarnic agent pirenzipine and the H2-receptor antagonist cimetidine. Pref. the wt. ratio of pirenzepine to cimetidine is 1:12 to 1:5, esp. 1:12. The compsn. is pref. in the form of an orally administered tablet, comprising 300 mg cimetidine and 25 mg pirenzepine, or 600 mg cimetidine and 50mg pirenzepine.
