The present invention concerns the construction of machines that are already sold on the market, in particular self-transformers with variable relation. Even if said machines are already widely used, their application is currently restricted to low power, mono-phase circuits and to tri-phase circuits with powers of only a few tens of KVA.Such restriction is due to the use of coal brushes aimed at facilitating commutation from one winding to the other, thus limiting clo-cycle current, i.e. between said windings through their transversal resistance.In order to overcome this restriction, it is necessary to build machines with a null winding commutation, even in case of extremely high winding tension.
