Abstract of the DisclosureA sulphite cooking process is described for the productionof pulp from materials containing lignocelluloses, withrecovery of the cooking chemicals, in which the cooking, theblowing, the washing and the bleaching are performedsuccessively. The waste liquor is subjected to severalthermal treatments for the recovery of the cookingchemicals. For the cooking of the lignocellulosicmaterials, alkaline sulphite solutions are used, to whichone or, in mixture, several low-boiling solvents are added,as well as at least one compound suitable as a redoxcatalyst.
