Type setting system of a flexible text

The disclosure relates to a type setting system of a flexible text, or a hypertext for integratedly supporting the preparation of a document, controlling and retrieving the document, controlling and retrieving multimedia data, type setting data, and printing the document. The type setting system of the hypertext system comprises the steps of storing a network-shaped flexible text (1) formed by interre­lating nodes which are logical units by links (2); applying type setting operation, necessary in converting the flexible text into a flat text, to the network of the flexible text; and converting the stored flexible text into the flat text based on the type setting operation necessary in converting the flexible text into the flat text.
