The mechanical strength and the adhesiveness of a coating of external finish coating (1) of a porous support (2) are reinforced by impregnating the latter with a product rich in silicone compounds and by then applying a layer (5) of wall filler paint into which particles of siliceous matter are incorporated, in particular grains of sand (6). A multitude of mineral grains (7) is then sprayed onto the freshly applied background wall paint and after complete drying a layer of finish coating product (8) is sprayed. IMAGE
