In a multilayer reinforced door, at least one of the layers is a glass plate (2, 3) which extends over the entire door area within the door framework (1) and which is located between two of the other door layers (4,5,6). Pref. the glass plate (2, 3) consists of soda-lime silica glass-type window glass and is bonded over its entire area to the core layer (4) of the door by an adhesion promoter, esp. a polyurethane-based adhesive.
