Roll frame which can be converted from duo to quarto rolls and vice-versa has sets of adaptors (28,28',29,29') which can be moved horizontally on guide rails (41,42) to replace support rolls (13,14) which are pulled out of the roll frame by pulling cars (36). The work rolls (9,10) are pulled free from the frame by a pulling unit (39) and replaced in similar fashion by work rolls (26,27). ADVANTAGE - The time change is considerably shortened and the equipment required for the change is minimal.
