Thermally curing epoxide resins - by using a hardener contg. poly:amine mono:amine mixt.

Thermocurable epoxide resins (I) contg. more than one epoxy gp. per mole and are curable at room temp. are claimed. The hardener is a polyamine/monoamine mixt. consisting of: (a1) 1 mole (cyclo)aliphatic polyamine with at least 3 active H-atoms per mole; (a2) 0.25-4 moles monoamines with a primary amino gp. of formula R-NH2, R = aliphatic or branched 8-20C alkyl, one or more methylene gps. replaced by O-atoms or tertiary N-atoms; (b) 50-350 wt.% N-butyl benzyl sulphonamide. The usual fillers, pigments and reaction accelerators can be added. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) are used to produce coatings, adhesives, sealing masses and moulded parts. Products made from (I) are petrol resistant, adhering, flexible and have improved impact strength and tensile strength.
