The method of measuring the conc. and droplet size distribution of substances suspended in gases involves first electrostatically separating the substances whilst measuring the flow-rate. The separated substances are then fed into an absorption-free solvent according to their quantity. The conc. of aerosol substances is determined by infrared absorption whilst the electrostatically separated dust is removed at defined time intervals and investigated. USE/ADVANTAGE - In high precision, delay-free measurement of oil aerosols in particle size range between 0.1 and 10 microns. Robust, convenient arrangement is simple to use.
