Spotlight providing background lighting for mine or tunnel - uses respective light sources to provide main and background light beams

The spotlight has two separate light sources for respectively providing the main spotlight beam and the background light. Both light sources are contained within the same housing, each provided by an incandescent light bult, a halogen lamp or a gas discharge lamp. Pref. the direction of the background lighting is adjustable in directional reflectors, or by rotation of the part of the housing incorporating the background lighting source.
