The steel wheel consists of two shells composed of a hollow cylindrical running surface round the axis adjoining slightly conical toothed part which merges via a cranked area into a flat hub part concentric to the axis. Each shell consists of a ring rolled into an L shape (2, 5) and a butt-joined die forged plate part (3, 4) to include part of the toothing (5), the crank piece (3) and the hub part (4). USE/ADVANTAGE - For tracked vehicles with acceptable mfg. economy.
