The racket has a head (2) and a handle (1) which has a hollow space (12) incorporating an electronic counter (3), coupled to a display (8). The counter (3) is operated from the end of the racket handle (1). Pref. the counter (3) has a spring-loaded ball (4) fitting in a cup (6) which projects from the end face of the handle (1). The counter (3) may be indexed via an acceleration sensor and an intermediate delay element. ADVANTAGE - Allows player to read number of tennis strokes.
