The sandwiched type building components comprise a base plate (1) of fibre-reinforced concrete, to which a layer of polygonal stone plates (3) are secured by mortar, or adhesive (2). The stone plates are thinner than the base plate, and are pref. of Solnhofen stone, while glass fibres can be used to reinforce the concrete. The gaps between the plates can be filled with a pourable, hardenable filling substance. USE/ADVANTAGE - For building facades etc., with improved weather resistance.
