Combination plate with two outer layers of fibre-reinforced light concrete - has intermediate insulating layer comprising at least one mineral fibre plate with steel reinforcements running parallel to its long sides

The combination plate has a U-shaped recess (8,9) along the sides (4,5) of the light concrete, in which the steel reinforcement (10,11) is inserted, and fixed by cement mortar, or plaster. The steel reinforcements (10,11) are encased in a sepn. medium prior to being laid in the light concrete, and are under tension. At their ends they have counter bearings supporting against the narrow sides of the plate. The steel reinforcements have U-shaped profiles, and a side arm of each profile runs along the base of the U-shaped recess (8,9). The reinforcements consist of flat irons, running on edge to the outer layers (1,2). They are also holed. Two mineral fibre plates are involved, which are sepd. by a layer of fibre-reinforced light concrete which evolves into the insulating layer-free areas (6,7). USE/ADVANTAGE - In building construction, a combination plate which is suitable for a considerable span, has low wt. and high fire resistance.
