The equipment incorporates sensors to measure exhaust emissions, esp. particulates and nitrogen oxides (NOX), in addn. to devices for measuring the throttle pedal position, engine speed, temp. and pressure. ADVANTAGE - The equipment controls the contents of the exhaust more accurately. It compensates for a badly-maintained engine. The equipment warns the driver when exhaust emissions deteriorate.
