Vacuum valve - esp. for chlorine gas dosing in drinking water treatment equipment

A vacuum valve, esp for chlorinating drinking water, has a needle valve, a closure spring and a vented control membrane in a vacuum chamber. The novelty is that (a) the control membrane (7) is located in a forked region of a vacuum line (1); (b) a first barrier membrane (5) is located between a sealing cone (3) and a closure spring (4) in the vented part of the vacuum chamber; (c) a second barrier membrane (6) is located between an adjuster (8) outside the vacuum chamber and a needle valve rod; and (d) the adjuster (8) is in direct operative connection with the sealing cone (3) of the needle valve for dosing the chlorine gas and for emergency shut-off.
