The mechanism comprises a pair of annular holding elements (3, 4) which can be rotated with respect to each other. One of the annular holding elements (4) has a hollowing (25) whose width corresponds to that of a tool (15). The other annular holding element (3) is provided with an interior toothed ring (8). The interior face (10) of the annular holding element (3) and the interior toothed ring (8) have several bores (11, 12) intended to receive studs (13, 16) carried by the lateral faces of the tools (15) and serving for the fixing of the latter.
