For some metering pumps with precompression and with improved priming developed in the prior art for the purpose of emitting a liquid or pasty product in aerosol form, recourse is made to a hollow emission rod 3 the internal passage 33 of which is provided with a stud 32. When this passage 33 furthermore has a narrowed opening 36, the manufacture of the rod 3 by moulding ends in damage to the stud 32 which then no longer exhibits the qualities required for the correct operation of the pump. The present invention avoids such damage by virtue of a passage 33 in which, on the contrary, the opening 36 widens. A complementary hollow end-fitting 30 is moreover securely fixed into the opening 36 in the passage 33 so that a pump similar to that of the prior art is reconstituted. IMAGE
