The rear-view mirror 6 is arranged forward of the front wall 3 of the cab 1 of the driver of a motor vehicle. The rear-view mirror 6 is, as is normal, located outside the lateral surface of the cab 1 of the driver and allows the driver to see in the blind spot in the region of the front wheel 2. The reflective surface 7 of the rear-view mirror 6 is curved and has a radius of curvature 9 less than 800 mm and greater than 250 mm.
