- The invention relates to a method for continuous localised reprofiling of a covering or surface, especially of a roadway and machines for its implementation. - The method consists in moving over the surface to be treated, so as progressively to explore a surface strip of defined width, in continuously detecting and/or evaluating the location and the extent inside the zone explored of the possible part or parts to be filled, and their depth, in continuously determining the corresponding quantity, to within a bulk factor, of filling material to be supplied, in pouring, downstream of the said detection, along the direction (A) of progression, the said quantity of filling material, substantially in line with the part or parts to be filled which were detected, continuously and over their entire extent, and in spreading and smoothing at each part to be filled the bulked-up volume of the material thus poured, the final surface (S), to within a bulk factor, downstream of the spreading and the smoothing, being taken as a reference surface, on the basis of which the said depth of the part or parts to be filled is evaluated. - Application in particular to reprofiling roadways.
