PURPOSE: To provide an aluminum electrolytic capacitor sealed into an airtight package by using only one airtight tip part seal, and to provide a capacitor housed in an aluminum can for minimizing costs and completely escaping the bi-methane electrolytic corrosion of an electric connecting part with a cathode. CONSTITUTION: This capacitor is composed of a capacitor part having an anode and electrolytic liquid, aluminum can 20 having an open tip part and a closed tip part, and glass/metallic seal having a tantalum outside ring 34. The can houses the capacitor part and the electrolytic liquid, the seal is tightly engaged in the open tip part for closing the open tip part, and the tantalum ring is completely sealed to the aluminum can by continuous annular laser welding.
