PRODUCTION OF PHOSPHATIDYLCHOLINE AND PHOSPHATIDYLETHANOLAMINE COMPRISING LINOLEIC ACID AS ONE AND ONLY CONSTITUENT FATTY ACID

PURPOSE:To produce phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine comprising linoleic acid expected to be used as a medicine as the one and only constituent fatty acid by using a fungus. CONSTITUTION:Cells of a fungus such a Phialophora cyclaminis WF3010 (FERM P-11475) belonging to the genus Phialophora are cultured in a nutritive medium and phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine comprising linoleic acid as the one and only constituent fatty acid are isolated and purified from the prepared cells.
