PURPOSE:To readily carry out determination of urea by feeding a sample to be measured into a column filled with an enzyme immobilized in microcapsules, decomposing the urea in the sample with the enzyme and measuring the produced ammonium ions. CONSTITUTION:A sample to be measured is fed into a column filled with an enzyme immobilized in microcapsules and urea in the sample to be measured is decomposed with the aforementioned enzyme. Ammonium ions produced at that time are then measured to carry out quantitative analysis of the urea. Furthermore, urease is preferred as the above-mentioned enzyme.
