MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY AGAINST CLONED HUMAN KILLER T CELL STRAIN

NEW MATERIAL:A monoclonal antibody capable of stimulating the multiplication of a cloned human killer T cell which exhibits a significant killer activity against the hepatic cells of non-A non-B type hepatitis patients but does not exhibit a significant activity against the hepatic cells of both A type hepatitis patients and B type hepatitis patients. USE:A drug (vaccine) for preventing non-A and non-B type hepatitis. PREPARATION:The monoclonal antibody is prepared e.g. as follows; suspending in a buffer solution a cloned human killer T cell, TA-NB-2 (FERM P-10235) which exhibits a significant killer activity against the hepatic cells of non-A non-B type hepatitis patients but which does not exhibit the significant killer activity against the hepatic cells of both B type hepatitis patients and A type hepatitis patients A is suspended in a buffer solution, administering the suspension into a BALB/c mouse to immunize the mouse, taking out splenic cells from the immunized mouse, fusing the splenic cells with mouse mouse myeloma cells, screening the fused cells, separating the monoclone by a limiting dilution method, etc., and subsequently culturing the obtained B cell hybridoma to prepare the monoclonal antibody.
