PURPOSE:To realize optimization of control of a movable vane hydraulic turbine early by locating two axis deflection measuring sensors with a phase difference at 90 deg. against an axis of a hydraulic turbine, and measuring the axis deflection lissajous on the basis of the output thereof, and controlling a vane angle so as to make this axis deflection lissajous minimum. CONSTITUTION:Two axis deflection measuring sensors 7, 8 are located with a phase difference at 90 deg. against an axis 6 of a hydraulic turbine, and the output of each sensor 7, 8 is input to an axis deflection analyzing device 10 through an amplifier 9. At this stage, deflection quantity in the X, Y direction for the same time is respectively pointed on a circular graph to draw the lissajous of the axis deflection, and this lissajous is output. Next, an open degree of a guide vane is set at any open degree a1, and an angle of a runner vane is adjusted at any angle to obtain the angle of the runner vane, which makes the axis deflection lissajous minimum. An open degree of the guide vane is fixed to different positions one by one, and an angle of the runner vane, which makes the lissajous minimum, is selected at respective open degree of guide vane to obtain the optimum combination curve, and this optimum combination curve is used for control of the vane angle.
