WASTE DISPOSAL AND FORMING WORK OF CALM SEA AREA

PURPOSE:To secure the welfare of residents and the disposing site of wastes by a method in which an air island, long island, and calm sea area are formed by using the dredged sludge from the reclamation site of wastes on sea off the land area. CONSTITUTION:The sea area 5 of a reclamation site on sea off the land area 2 is dredged to more deepen the sea bottom than the surrounding sea area. By using the dredged sludge, a land area 5b is formed to surround the reclamation sea area 5c to form a core island 5 and also a long island 6 is formed along the seashore line 2a. A calm sea area 3 is formed between the islands 6 and 5 and the land area 2, and wastes are dumped into the sea area 5c. When the sea area 5c is filled with wastes, new reclamation sea area 5c' is formed on outside of the island 5. The disposing site and wastes and the welfare of residents can thus be secured.
