PURPOSE:To use a goniometer as a vertical type or a horizontal sample-fixed type in response to the requirement of a measuring person by attaching the goniometer to a frame so that the goniometer can be attached or removed freely, and rotating and driving the goniometer with a sample axis as the center. CONSTITUTION:A goniometer supporting body 2 having the L-shaped cross section is fixed on a frame 1 with screws 3 so that the body can be attached and removed freely. The rotary shaft of the goniometer is inserted into the supporting body 2 and attached. The shaft is provided so that the shaft is freely rotated with respect to the supporting body 2 and cannot be moved in the axial direction. A supporting device for rotating and driving a goniometer 8 is constituted of the supporting body 2, the rotary shaft, a goniometer rotating motor 6 and gears 5 and 7. The goniometer can be used as a vertical type or a horizontal sample-fixed type depending on whether the entire goniometer 8 is rotated or not rotated. Then, the highly accurate measurement can be performed, and a liquid sample 17 can be measured without trouble.
