T-SECTION PLIED STEEL SHEET FOR INSERTING BETWEEN ROTARY KILN LINING BRICK AND TECHNIQUE FOR PREVENTING COMING-OFF OF LINING BRICK

PURPOSE:To facilitate placing work and form a ring having tight constitution by a method wherein a steel sheet, obtained by plying the back surface of the long sides of two sheets of irregular angle steel sheets and welding the vicinity of the tip ends of the long sides of the same to integrate them, is inserted between lining bricks. CONSTITUTION:A steel sheet 1 is obtained by plying the long sides (a, a) of a deformed L-shape steel sheets 1', whose sections are similar to the section of an irregular angle steel, and welding them at several places near the tip ends of the long sides to integrate them. One sheet of the steel sheet 1 is inserted in every 8-15 pieces of bricks 10 upon applying the lining of the bricks whereby the bricks are placed so as to form the shape of a ring. Subsequently, a drive plate 3 is driven by a hammer or the like into the gap of plying of the long sides of the steel sheets 1. In this case, the tip end (b) at the side of the inside of a furnace of the steel sheet 1 is provided with a round corner whereby the support of the plate 3 is permitted, placing work may be effected safely and efficiently and the placing of the multitude of the bricks may be effected. According to this method, a ring having more tight constitution than the same in conventional way may be formed.
