CONTAMINATION DETECTING METHOD OF COMBUSTION GAS HEAT EXCHANGING UNIT FOR ABSORPTION WATER COOLER, ABSORPTION WATER HEATER, BOILER OR THE LIKE

PURPOSE:To permit the decision of contamination of a combustion gas heat exchanging unit surely by a method wherein a difference or a ratio between the average value of difference or the average value of ratio between the combustion gas outlet temperature of the combustion gas heat exchanging unit and the temperature of heated fluid is compared with a preset temperature difference or a preset ratio. CONSTITUTION:The combustion gas outlet temperature (teg) and the heated fluid temperature (t1) of a combustion gas heat exchanging unit for an absorption water cooler, an absorption water heater, a boiler or the like are measured and when a difference or a ratio between the average value of a difference (teg-t1) or the average value of ratio (teg/t1) of continued several operating days in the initial period of measurement and the average value of difference or the average value of ratio in several operating days continued thereafter has become higher than a preset temperature difference or a preset ratio, it is decided that the combustion gas heat exchanging unit is contaminated. According to this method, the contamination of the combustion gas heat exchanging unit can be known while operating the absorption water cooler, absorption water heater, the boiler or the like whereby the cleaning of the same can be effected in accordance with a schedule. On the other hand, the timing of the cleaning can be known correctly whereby the loss of fuel or the operation of a safety device will never be caused.
