PURPOSE:To permit the increase of the size of machine easily by arranging after combining a plurality of elements by a method wherein the element or the module (integrated low- temperature cylinder, high-temperature reproducer and the like) of an absorption type water cooler and heater is slimmed and compacted so as to be capable of being transported easily as one body without dividing the element. CONSTITUTION:An absorber 52, an evaporator 53, a low-temperature reproducer 54 and a condenser 55 are arranged in vertical direction in a substantially rectangular parallele-piped box type main body 51. A substantially V-shaped or a substantially U-shaped refrigerant reservoir 57 is provided between the evaporator and the absorber. Further, an eliminator 66 is provided at the side of the evaporator and an enclosed member 70 for the extraction of air is provided in the absorber while a flush chamber 78, having a double structure, is provided between the evaporator and the refrigerant reservoir. An element is constituted by integrating a slimmed low-temperature cylinder, a high-temperature reproducer and the like while a large size absorption type water cooler and heater is constituted by arranging a plurality of elements horizontally in parallel or arranging them horizontally and piling them in up-and-down direction.
