PURPOSE:To easily produce sinterable piezoelectric perovskite powder at high efficiency by generating ppt. of Pb, Nb, Ti, Al, and Zr, stepwise, then generating further the ppt. of Mn and Zn by adjusting the pH of the soln. contg. the ppt. generated in the first stage. CONSTITUTION:The ppt. of above described each component is generated stepwise by allowing the soln. of each Pb, Nb, Ti, Al, and Zr component to contact with a soln. for forming precipitate, successively. Then, the concn. of ions generated from the ppt.-forming soln. in said ppt.-contg. soln. is adjusted to =0.2mol./l, and the pH of the ppt.-contg. soln. is adjusted to =11.5 with the ppt.-forming soln. The ppt. of each component is generated by adding the soln. of each component Mn and Zn to the ppt.-contg. soln. having pH=11.5. The ppt. generated by this process is calcined at 500-900 deg.C. By this process, raw material powder of a piezoelectric compound perovskite type compd. expressed by the general formula: x[Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3]-yPbTiO3-zPbZrO3-aMnO2-bAl2 O3 (wherein x+y+z=100mol.%; a = molar ratio 0.05-5; b = molar ratio 0-5) and of its solid soln. is obtd.
