SCAFFOLD CAPABLE OF TRAVELLING OVER BALUSTRADE OF BRIDGE

PURPOSE:To reduce costs for a scaffold by a method wherein frames for the scaffold are formed with rollers or wheels that are resistant against vertical force, and rollers that are resistant against horizontal force attached to a handrail, and with rollers that are resistant against horizontal force attached to the vertical plane of a wheel guard. CONSTITUTION:A frame 6 of a scaffold is formed by attaching rollers or wheels 2 that are resistant against vertical force and rollers 3 that are resistant against horizontal force to a handrail 1 of a balustrade, and by attaching rollers 5 that are resistant against horizontal force acting in the direction opposite to the rollers 3 to the vertical plane of a wheel guard. A ladder 7, a work floor 8, and rails 9 are provided to the frame 6, and the work floor 8 is made to travel, utilizing the handrail 1 as a travel lane. Thereby it becomes unnecessary to erect the scaffold extending over all the length of a bridge, making the number of the frames to be used minimum and the costs for constructing the scaffold reduced.
