PURPOSE:To omit the burden of an engineer and to improve the workability by deter mining and processing automatically a dimensional line, a drawing out line and the describing location of dimensional data. CONSTITUTION:A starting point and terminal point left side editing part 1 edits the starting point and terminal point of respective graphic elements classified by the starting point and terminal point based upon the reference setting data, a drawing element setting part 2 distributes and extracts them in the upper and lower directions with a reference line (for example, a central axis C) on a drawing, matches contours E8-E14 of the upper side and contours E1-E7 of the lower side drawn from respective graphic elements and the outer circumference of parts is formed. When the drawing element of the outer circumference is extracted, a horizontal dimension drawing setting part 3 sets the drawing data to the dimension of the horizontal direction while avoiding the interference by giving a priority sequence, a diameter dimension drawing setting part 4 distributes the display position to either the right and left of a parts graphic or in the graphic, sets the drawing data to the dimension of the diameter direction, and an inner circumference dimension drawing processing part 5 controls the dimension drawing data and outputs them to a desired display means 8.
