COMPRESSION AND DIFFUSION PROCESSING SYSTEM OF VECTOR

PURPOSE:To enhance the processing efficiency of a computer system by converting compression and diffusion of a vector in order to accelerate the processing by means of a vector arithmetic processor. CONSTITUTION:A program loop 30 for a vector arithmetic includes simple variables for renewing 12 a prescribed value under the certain conditions 11. If it can be detected whether factors of a vector variable in the loop depend on only the simple variable, or they depend on only a proceeding sentence in sequence of a program concerned, an original vector can be compressed and diffused on a register in a vector arithmetic processor beforehand. The substitution of contents of the register, therefore, can convert a program 31 which employs said simple variable as a normal so-called control variable of a DO loop, and such converted program can be executed at a high speed in the vector arithmetic processor.
